The town of Ledyard provides curbside trash pickup. It is also interesting to note that the town is a member of the Southeastern Connecticut Regional Resources Recovery Authority (SCRRRA). Hence, the municipal solid waste collected at its transfer station is trucked to the Wheelabrator Lisbon Resource Recovery Facility where it is processed into energy. Consumer recyclables generated by the town are transferred to Casella Waste Systems, Inc (formerly Willimantic Wastepaper Co.) where they are processed--10/30; SL
